We are a group of eleven surgeons who work in Northumbria Healthcare Trust in the North of England. We aim to provide a first class service for our patients with the highest standards of safety and patient satisfaction... Our main areas of specialisation are in the treatment of gallbladder diseases & gallstones, hiatus hernia & acid reflux. We also specialise in all types of hernia surgery and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. We have a particular interest in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery... NUGITS has supported the development of laparoscopic surgery from the outset along with developing educational courses. We offer a number of courses in laparoscopic and open surgery.
