Raised just down the road in Tunas, Cheri's first Banking job was in Macks Creek. She moved to Macks Creek when she was married. She started working in banking in March 1984 as a teller and worked her way up from there. Cheri has twin boys and 4 grandkids that she loves spending time with. Cheri's family hobby is dirt track racing and working on the farm.
When you ask her what she loves about this area, Cheri will talk about her love for the small community and how she gets to know her customers by name. She also shares how special it is the way that the Macks Creek community loves and supports the school and its students. If you're looking for an evening of fun, you'll find most of the residents cheering on the Pirates at a basketball game or other sporting event. If you are new to the area, Cheri recommends enjoying Lake of The Ozarks, Ha Ha Tonka State Park and Lucas Oil Speedway. Cheri says she is blessed to be a part of the Oakstar team!

Having grown up within a stone's throw of Pomme de Terre Lake, Don often says jokingly he's not made it very far in life (his farm is 3 miles from where he grew up). Don has a grown son named Tanner, and a wife of 31 years named Kim. Don's son, Tanner and his family live and farm near Mountain Grove MO, Tanner teaches Agriculture and FFA at Marshfield MO. Don and his wife, Kim have a small herd of 20 very spoiled Red Angus cows. Don says; "My 33 years in banking were not at all planned, but the Lord knew what he was doing when he placed me in a career where I could help people through tough times as well as assisting them in realizing their dreams. I can't imagine going to a job every day that you didn't absolutely love."
If you ask Don what he enjoys about living in Hickory County, he is quick to share his love of the area and what he spends his time away from the bank doing. "My perfect day is in the spring of the year, everything bright green and blooming, hunting turkeys and morel mushrooms, followed by an afternoon of crappie fishing. A local newspaper writer once said that "once you drink the water in Hickory County, or dip in the local lake, you don't ever get it out of your system"…and I fully agree."

Jesse Reed changed careers from the non-profit world when he joined OakStar Bank in 2010. From loan admin, to credit, to portfolio management, etc... Jesse has transitioned throughout OakStar through its tremendous growth. He now serves as President of the Sunshine Branch. Kelly Parson is a life long resident of Polk County. He is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University and Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. Kelly enjoys spending time with his wife (who was his preschool sweetheart), daughter and two bird dogs at home or on the farm tending to his cattle.

Levi was a graduate of Hartville High School in 1999 and in 2003 a graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in finance. During college, Levi worked at the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station in Mountain Grove, which is when he realized he wanted to put roots down in Mountain Grove and work there after graduation.
Levi also graduated from the School of Bank Management in Columbia, MO in 2006 and graduated from Banking School at the University of Wisconsin in 2011. He has served on the Wright County Industrial Development Authority Board for over 14 years and has served as a Director for Semano Electric Cooperative since 2012. In addition, Levi has served on many other boards, committees, and organizations since working in Mountain Grove, such as the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Lions Club, EEZ Board, and more. "I have a passion for this community, and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching it grow into what it is today," he says.
In his spare time, Levi enjoys golfing, hunting, taking his boys to basketball tournaments/workouts, and spending time with his family.

Travis grew up on a farm just up the road in Preston, MO. After attending Skyline High School and Southwest Baptist University, he returned to the area to begin his career in business.
