Wisconsin's Safety Rest Area Maintenance (RAM) Program has been in existence since 1987. The RAM Program includes 28 safety rest areas and 90 seasonal sites. The Safety and Weight Enforcement Facilities Maintenance (SWEFM) Program has been in existence since 2001. The SWEFM Program includes 13 sites. The Program consists of 131 roadside sites in 35 counties in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) owns these sites and acts as the program administrator. WisDOT contracts with Disability Service Provider Network Roadside Facilities (DSPN RF) to provide program management services. WisDOT also contracts with 20 Service Providers who provide custodial care and landscape maintenance services at these roadside sites. For more information about the program, click here...
