Bella DeVaan is the acting managing editor of Inequality.org, associate of the Global Economy and Inequality research teams at the Institute for Policy Studies, and a member of our Charity Reform Initiative. In addition to researching and writing for our website, newsletter, and social media channels, she supports advocacy campaigns and coalition building. Her previous experience includes developing local policy in New York City and Washington State, teaching high school civics, and interning with tenant organizers. DeVaan graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in American Studies.
Bob Lord, a tax lawyer and former Congressional candidate, is an associate fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies. Bob previously served as an adjunct faculty member at the Arizona State University School of Law. Bob's work focuses on the relationship of tax law to inequality. He contributes to both the Inequality.org website and to OtherWords, the Institute's national syndicated editorial service. Bob also is a staff member at Blog For Arizona, the leading political blog in Arizona.
Chuck Collins is the Director of the Program on Inequality and the Common Good at the Institute for Policy Studies, where he co-edits Inequality.org. He is an expert on U.S. inequality, authoring over ten books and dozens of reports covering climate disruption, philanthropy, the racial wealth divide, affordable housing, and billionaire wealth dynasties. He is a founding member of the Patriotic Millionaires, and in 1995, he co-founded United for a Fair Economy (UFE) to organize, educate, and shift narratives to fight inequality.
Collins' newest book is a novel, Altar to an Erupting Sun (Green Writers Press), a near-future story of one community facing climate disruption in the critical decade ahead. His other titles include The Wealth Hoarders, Born on Third Base, Wealth and Our Commonwealth (co-authored with the late Bill Gates Sr.), and The Moral Measure of the Economy (co-authored with Mary Wright).
Dedrick Asante-Muhammad is an Institute for Policy Studies associate fellow and Coordinator of the Bridging the Divide initiative of the IPS Program on Inequality and the Common Good. He has been a longtime thought leader focused on racial economic inequality. He started his work as the first Racial Wealth Divide Coordinator at United For A Fair Economy. He then went on to work with Chuck Collins in the Institute for Policy Studies' Inequality and the Common Good Program. Asante-Muhammed then became the Senior Director of the Economic Department for the NAACP. He is currently Chief of Race, Wealth and Community at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition.
Josh Hoxie is an IPS Associate Fellow and the former head of the Project on Opportunity and Taxation at the Institute for Policy Studies. He worked previously as a legislative aide for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. He has written widely on income and wealth maldistribution for Inequality.org and other media outlets.
Kufre McIver is a New Mexico fellow at IPS. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Mexico in 2022. He performs research on a wide range of inequality-related issues, including the interactive charts for the data-heavy Facts Sections on Inequality.org.

Marc Bayard is an Associate Fellow and the director of the Institute for Policy Studies' Black Worker Initiative. He was the founding Executive Director of the Worker Institute at Cornell University. From 2003 to 2011 he was the Africa Regional Program Director for the American Center for International Labor Solidarity, AFL-CIO, and later was a fellow with the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor at Georgetown University.

Omar Ocampo is a researcher for the Institute for Policy Studies' Program on Inequality and the Common Good. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a B.A. in Political Science and holds a Masters in International Relations from the American University in Cairo. Prior to joining IPS, Omar was an intern for Congressman Stephen F. Lynch. He later entered the nonprofit sector where he worked in direct human and social services.

Sam Pizzigati, an associate fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, has written widely on income and wealth concentration, with op-eds and articles in publications ranging from the New York Times to Le Monde Diplomatique. Among his books: The Rich Don't Always Win: The Forgotten Triumph over Plutocracy that Created the American Middle Class, 1900-1970 (Seven Stories Press). His latest book: The Case for a Maximum Wage (Polity). A veteran labor movement journalist, Pizzigati spent 20 years directing publishing at America's largest union, the 3.2 million-member National Education Association.
Sarah Anderson directs the Global Economy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies and co-edits Inequality.org. Anderson's research covers a wide range of international and domestic economic issues, including trade, finance, inequality, and budget policies. A well-known expert on executive compensation, Anderson has been the lead author on the annual IPS Executive Excess series since 1993. She has also co-authored two books, Field Guide to the Global Economy (New Press, 2nd edition, 2005) and Alternatives to Economic Globalization (Berrett-Koehler, 2nd edition, 2004).
