Dr. Ronald D. Rucker is a native New Yorker who grew up in the Utica community. He had an extensive career in the U. S. Air Force, in which he was responsible for the leadership of the Security Forces Operations Center, which provided support to the United States Secret Service, State Department, and numerous other organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a specialization in criminal justice from Wayland Baptist University and a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His area of research focuses in Christian and denominational cooperation, exemplified in his dissertation topic, titled: "An Examination of Lee Rutland Scarborough's Influence on the Southern Baptist Convention from 1918-1925."
