IHFs are increasing operating in an environment of changing regulations, though all IHFs are publicly funded, most are privately owned by either business owners or radiologists. The need for standardization arises from the increase in regulations, we are constantly dealing with demands of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), Public health Ontario and the Independent Health Facilities Branch of MOHLTC. If all Independent Health Facilities are held to a high standard of excellence we will not only create strong viable businesses but we will exceed any and all expectations of our governing bodies.
