Afghan Community Research & Empowerment Organization for Development (ACREOD) was founded in 2010. The organization is registered with the Ministry of Economy under license number 1723. ACREOD is a 13-year-old national organization fighting poverty and social injustice in Afghanistan, focusing on empowering women and girls. We work with communities to understand the roots of poverty and find innovative, local solutions. ACREOD seeks to demonstrate the results and methods used in our projects to ensure transparency and accountability and improve the quality of work. ACREOD recognizes that the current context in which NGOs work is dynamic and complex, where responses may follow a vague timeline and pathway, and multiple stakeholders interact and influence each other and the interventions. Therefore, in 2023, ACREOD formulated its long-term strategies with the lens of humanitarian response standards to drive sustainable impact and meaningful change in the communities where ACREOD works on..
