Bringing a rare femininity and warmth to the Project Skin MD team, Angela Haff is preceded by a legendary reputation in the aesthetics industry. In a world dedicated to beauty and positive self image, she comes by her fame honestly. Angela began her career as a Critical Care Nurse and Medical Technical Advisor in the film and television industry. Life took a sharp turn when she went to work for one of the country's most respected plastic surgeons, Dr. Richard Warren. Under the tutelage of this esteemed physician, Angela acquired valuable understanding of the importance of ethics and responsibility in aesthetic medicine.
Angela was one of Canada's first Nurse Injectors with, now, over 24 years of experience. Her specialty led to a role as Clinical Nurse Specialist on the original launch team for the Restylane® family of facial fillers in Canada. In this role, Angela educated and trained many of Canada's top physicians and nurses and mentored many of her U.S. counterparts. Eventually, her position developed into sales and training and, ultimately, into management for Medicis Aesthetics.
Angela's personal accomplishments are as impressive. Born in England, Angela eventually settled in Vancouver. She has ridden her bike through the hills of Italy and on the Road To Conquer Cancer. She is an avid reader and, to this day, still meets with the same great women of the book club she helped initiate over 19 years ago. While she describes her career path as ‘unconventional,' Angela proves to be an artist at heart. She is passionate about design and travel, she thrives when exploring a new city or culture and if you ask her about her greatest accomplishment, she will quickly answer, "Raising my three children. Now adults, they remain my best work to date!"
As a specialized injector here at Project Skin MD, Angela is focused on building trusting relationships and providing great outcomes that preserve and respect the individual. What makes us each unique is, after all, what makes us beautiful. She believes in embracing age and the benefits that are inherent to it. As you might expect from a New Brunswick native, Dr. Michon exudes the distinct warmth of a Canadian East Coaster. He graduated from the University of Ottawa Family Medicine in 2006 and Emergency Medicine in 2007 and has dedicated the past 15+ years of his practice to Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Michon has since earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology and a Master of Science in Aesthetic Medicine from the prestigious Queen Mary University of London in the United Kingdom, graduating with Distinction from both programs. He also earned a Master of Science in Skin Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (with Mention) from the University of Manchester, UK.
He is an international speaker and has published many scientific papers on various topics related to Aesthetic Medicine. He is a faculty member, consultant, and teacher for Allergan Aesthetics Canada and a consultant for Galderma Canada and SkinCeuticals Canada, L'Oréal Paris. Dr. Michon was invited as a faculty member to the 2024 World Congress in Aesthetic Medicine (AMWC) to perform live injections during the pre-congress masterclass in facial aesthetics. He won the AMWC 2024 award for the best non-surgical body sculpting clinical case, where we combined EMSCULPT and bio stimulators and was the runner up for the award in best nonsurgical facial rejuvenation. He also sits as an international expert member in the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC) group and the medical advisory committee of the Functionalab and Dermapure group.
As a physician, he provides a fresh, compassionate approach to medical aesthetics. Dr. Michon advocates for transformation through self-love and self-care as means to acknowledge, accept, and appreciate one's innate, true beauty. He loves educating his community and patients using evidence-based medicine, photographs of real results, and focusing on full-body wellness. Dr. Lo understands the skin you're in! A practicing family physician with a special interest in dermatology, Dr. Jacky Lo grew up here in Vancouver and completed his medical and family medicine training at UBC.
Dr. Lo brings a wealth of diverse knowledge, education and experience to the Project Skin MD Team. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honours as a Dietetics major before continuing on to medical school. His experience goes far beyond a strong education in family medicine, having completed dermatology rotations at UBC, University of Calgary, University of Toronto, University of Manitoba, and Oregon Health and Science University. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology with honours from Cardiff University, and was previously a registered dietitian with the College of Dieticians of BC.
As a respected expert in his field, Dr. Lo is constantly evolving and training. He is an active board member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada and remains committed to his ongoing education in dermatology; constantly ahead of new advancements in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Lo is full of surprises as well. He has traveled to 11 different countries and counting, is an avid horror movie fan, and is tri-lingual - fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin! Dr. Lo is also a published author; his work has been published in both the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and the Surgery Journal of Current Clinical Care. Dr. Lo loves spending time with his family and friends, staying active with Crossfit, and trying out new restaurants.

Former actress and filmmaker Dr. Janet Ip is thrilled to make her debut at Project Skin MD, infusing artistry into medicine through her cosmetic practice. Her own struggle with teenage acne sparked an early interest in skin care and ignited an early passion for dermatology (cue: pursuit of flawless skin).
Originally from Winnipeg, this sweet Prairie Girl transplanted herself to the coast to complete a medical degree and family practice residency at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Ip practiced for 12 years at Pacific Derm, caring for a wide range of skin conditions and diseases, and honing a special interest in acne, rosacea, and skin cancers, as well as in cosmetic procedures.
She is currently a Clinical Instructor at UBC and lectures and teaches medical residents in the field of dermatology and the use of dermoscopy. She has been a repeat facilitator and panelist at the DermaCon conference, a continuing medical education event for health care professionals nationwide.
She's quite the smarty-pants: Dr. Ip has published research in the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery and has been the recipient of numerous academic scholarships and research awards, including recognition from the UBC Division of Dermatology and BC Cancer Foundation for her work in the field of skin cancer. She has been a medical consultant for the Globe and Mail and Canadian Health publications, as well as a participant in public skin cancer screening clinics held by the Canadian Dermatology Association.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ip is a film, theatre and fashion buff and dabbles in the art of animal photography. She is excited to join the ranks of artists at Project Skin MD and to work once again with Dr. Bill McGillivray and this incredible team.

With a warmth that can be felt instantly, a skillful hand, and artistic eye for detail, Dr. Leanne Rowthorn works with her patients to achieve their individual aesthetic goals. Her approach is to build trusting relationships and provide beautiful, natural results.
Dr. Rowthorn graduated with her medical degree from McMaster University in 2006 and completed her family medicine residency at University of British Columbia in 2008. From there, she went on to complete her emergency medicine designation at McMaster University in 2009.
With a special interest in women's health, Dr. Rowthorn practiced emergency medicine and maternity care prior to dedicating the past 8+ years of her career to aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Rowthorn is a devoted mother of 3, lover of the outdoors and is always up for an adventure.

Originally from Quebec City, Dr. Lachance completed an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences, a doctorate in medicine, and residency in family medicine at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Lachance currently practices family medicine in Embrun and provides obstetrical care at the Montfort Hospital.
His passion for aesthetics has been growing since 2017 when he first started injecting neuromodulators. With a strong background and passion for continuous training in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Lachance will help you work towards your aesthetic goals with respect and professionalism.
Dr. William McGillivray doesn't wear a wet suit to work each day so you are not likely to guess he was a champion windsurfer.
