Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig - SKG Teaching Lodge is an Anishinaabe post-secondary institute that preserves the integrity of Anishinaabe knowledge and understanding. SKG strives to educate the present and future generations in a positive, cooperative and respectful environment. SKG aims at providing and developing academic programs, workshops and seminars which reflect the Anishinaabe worldview, distinguished by Anishinaabe ways of learning and knowing. Founded based on a vision of the Ojibwe Chief Shingwaukonse'ibun, to create a Teaching Wigwam with an overall goal of providing cross cultural education in Anishinaabe studies. SKG is one of nine Indigenous institutes of higher learning that are legally recognized and home to the National Chief's Library.
