Industrio aims at developing an innovative manufacturing framework based on the creation of small-local-agile manufacturing units, "Mini-factories" enabling the distribution at local (mini-factory@retailer) and district scale (mini-factory@area/close to retails) of technologically advanced fabrication operations. The systems are highly flexible, can be automatically reconfigured or readdressed to produce when and where needed.
