Alexandra Dogandzhiyska

As a young legal assistant who is currently pursuing studies at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Alexandra Dogandzhiyska brings a fresh perspective and unwavering enthusiasm to our team. With a focus on continuous learning, she is an active participant in various moot court competitions, now preparing for the Telders International Moot Court Competition, in The Hague in spring 2024. She and our colleague Jessica will represent Bulgaria at this competition. The team will have only two more people. Alexandra's strong possession of English and her dedication to the moot court trials, enables her to effectively analyze foreign legal documents, treaties, and court practice. Passionate about public law and arbitration, she contributes meaningfully to our firm's cases and provides comprehensive legal solutions. An integral part of her role within the firm is assisting our team in providing thorough research the most relevant and up-to-date information regarding specific law matters, including Sport arbitration, Public International law and Real Estate law.

Atanas Pavlov

Attorney-at-law Atanas Pavlov has acquired hands-on experience on consulting a number of international clients in the field of corporate law - transfers of shares, mergers, acquisitions, changes in corporate structure and management between multiple jurisdictions (Cyprus, Israel, Belgium, UK, North Macedonia, etc.) as well as commercial transactions, dispute resolution and the following enforcement proceedings. He handles the full anti-money laundering (AML) compliance of clients, including developing internal policies, training of management and staff, etc. Atanas is one of our experts in property law - he has vast experience in due diligence of real properties, drafting preliminary contracts and notary deeds both for buyers and sellers. His interests in the field of law also include competition protection, solar energy and crowdfunding. Before joining our team, Atanas worked for one year as a Fulbright intern at Sofia Regional Court and Sofia City Court and for three more years at another law firm specialized in corporate law and real estate. As a law student he has also taken part in two international competitions in the field of international criminal law - one in Nuremberg and one in Hague. In addition to that Atanas has successfully completed training on issues related to arbitration at the Court of Arbitration at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dimiter Gochev

Fields of expertise: tax law and structuring, VAT, transfer pricing, revisions, and appeal of revision acts. Attorney-at-law Dimiter Gochev specializes in coordinating international tax projects with tax consultants in different jurisdictions. He has worked on the tax structuring of numerous projects in mergers and acquisitions, including the reorganization of one of the leading banks on the Bulgarian market, as well as the acquisition of several trading centers in the country. Dimiter provides consultations regarding tax treatment of local businesses providing goods and services abroad - regarding taxing at the source, double taxation agreements, place of business and transfer pricing. Dimiter is a full-time teaching assistant, teaching International public law at the Faculty of law in Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". He has authored books and articles on international and tax law.

Filena Vasileva

She performs in-depth case law analysis on challenging cases and also supports the overall court case work process. Filena has participated in the work process on different cases which allowed her to gain a solid foundation of experience. She is flexible and quickly gets ahead even with tasks which are not in her fields of expertise. The team can rely on her as she's always there to unite the colleagues no matter the work pressure.

Ivan Genchev

Fields of expertise: technology law, intellectual property, personal data protection and GDRP compliance, financing of technology start-ups, commercial contracts negotiation. Attorney-at-law Ivan Genchev's main focus of expertise is the innovation and technology sector. His experience is two-folded from working with big technology multinationals on their international commercial transactions to advising start-ups and scale-ups for their corporate structure, clients acquisition strategies and financing opportunities. Ivan provides guidance on issues related to the technology sector such as compliance with the regulatory framework or contractual set-up to better protect companies' intellectual property or acquire new clients. He graduated from the Sorbonne University in Paris, France and has a second Master's degree in International Business and Trade Law from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, USA after being selected for a Fulbright scholarship from the US Department of State and the Bulgarian-American Commission for Educational Exchange.

Ivan Yankov - CEO

Attorney-at-law Ivan Yankov is the moving force of the YNG Legal team. He's the one always coming up with new ideas and directing the processes and the development of our law firm. Ivan is one of the leading experts on intellectual property law in Bulgaria. He provides complete legal service for "ArtistAuthour" - a large Bulgarian collective management organization. Ivan has participated in the drafting of over 100 applications for patents, designs and trademarks. He has taken part in legal proceedings between copyright holders and users (TV channels, radio stations, advertising agencies, etc.). Ivan also provides consultations on complicated issues regarding cryptocurrencies, block-chain technology, and coordinates the issues of applying block-chain regulations in multiple jurisdictions worldwide (China, the USA, the EU, South Africa, Singapore, Canada, Russia and Belarus). Ivan is a licensed appraiser of intellectual property under the Chamber of Independent Appraisers in Bulgaria.

Iveta Ivanova

She actively participates in the process of legal representation in civil cases and has successfully completed training in general consumer law.

Jessica Spasova

Jessica Spasova combines work, study, extracurricular activities and charity with enviable success. Only in her third year of law studies at Sofia University, she has already participated in two national human rights competitions and is about to participate in a third competition, this time in the field of international law - the Telders International Moot Court Competition, in The Hague in spring 2024. She and our colleague Alexandra will represent Bulgaria at this competition. The team will have only two more people. In addition, since her first year, Jessica is an active member of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) and has participated in the organization of two summer educational exchanges for law students from Europe and two charity balls: one for the "Bulgarian Christmas" charity initiative and one for the "Stoyan Kambarev" Foundation. Aside from her formal activities, Jessica has also volunteered at a nursing home in her home city Plovdiv, where she shared her Saturdays in games and conversations with the residents. Jessica says that exactly helping people is one of the things that makes her feel really good and fills her with meaning. It's actually the reason she took the path of law that eventually led her to the YNG Legal team. So, with the experience she already gained during her student years so far, Jessica went on to the next more significant level of her development as a professional, this time helping people in need with her legal expertise.

Ognyan Nenchev

Attorney-at-law Ognyan Nenchev has over 10 years of experience in public procurements. He prepares tender documentation in accordance with the Public Procurement Act for different types of contracting entities - municipalities, hospitals and state/municipality-owned companies. He has participated in over 20 projects on behalf of the contracting entity. Ognyan has also worked on behalf of contractors, by managing the process of preparing documentation, representation in tenders, and appealing results before the CPC and administrative courts. Upon award of a public procurement contract, Ognyan ensures the legal side of the performance process, working with sub-contractors, and coordination with the contracting entity.

Stanimir Borisov

She takes part in consultations regarding the transposition of European directives into national legislation in the fields of commercial and corporate law, electronic management, etc. Viktoria represents individuals and legal entities before the Bulgarian courts in legal disputes regarding the effects of contracts, claims for compensation from illegal activities of state authorities, merchant insolvency, contestation of administrative acts. She also provides consultations on labor issues, prepares all necessary labor documentation for an enterprise with regard to protecting both parties' interests.
