Ashwin is looking forward supporting Kin in its services to the WA community. He feels connected to the ethos of Kin, as he is a son of migrant parents and has a son who is been supported by the NDIS. He has been managing an accounting practice since 2011.

Dr. Bernadette Wright

Bernadette is a Clinical Psychologist, educator, and consultant specialising in the nuances of transcultural mental health processes that occur between service providers and service recipients. For more than 25 years, Bernadette has worked directly with individuals and families from ethnoculturally and linguistically diverse (ELD) backgrounds, and practitioners. She has undertaken collaborative action research which has led to publications and resources for clinicians. Drawing on her transcultural mental health expertise, Bernadette has twice served as Specialist Advisor on the Australian Human Rights Commission Scrutiny Team examining WA's immigration detention facilities and services. Bernadette has a senior adjunct academic position at Curtin University where she provides supervision for post-graduate students. Originally from Indonesia, her spoken languages are English, Bahasa Indonesia, and she holds an undergraduate degree in French. Bernadette has a brother with an intellectual disability and she continues to advocate for culturally responsive service provision for people with a disability from ELD backgrounds.
