TRUEBETA - Key Persons
Rabbe Ekholm founded TrueBeta in 2007.
He was until recently Chief Commercial Officer and a Member of the Management Board of Saxo Bank, prior to now focusing full time on developing TrueBeta. Saxo Bank is a leading global online multi-asset trading and investment specialist, recognised in May 2008 by Euromoney as the fastest growing FX Bank.
Prior to joining Saxo Bank in May 2007, Mr. Ekholm was a Managing Director at MSCI Barra, heading its Content Solutions Group. MSCI Barra is a leading provider of benchmark indices and risk management analytics products. He joined MSCI in 1999 as Global Head of Marketing, and was appointed head of the MSCI Equity Index business in 2004. Following the acquisition of Barra in the same year, Mr. Ekholm was appointed Content Solutions Group Head for the combined entity in January 2005, growing sales and profits by 35% pa through 2006.
Prior to joining MSCI in 1999, Mr. Ekholm held European and U.S.-based marketing and general management positions with Procter & Gamble, Pepsi, and International Distillers and Vintners, where he was a Regional Managing Director.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ekholm has demonstrated success in building new businesses, in developing brands and strategies, and in managing partner-, client- and supplier-relationships.
Mr. Ekholm has broad international experience across developed and emerging markets. He has been based in the US, the UK, and in several Continental and Southern European countries.
Mr. Ekholm received an MBA from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki in 1982, and a BA from the same school in 1979.
