GP Role Players (GPRP) was founded in February 2017 by Dr. Ramy Al-Rufaie, a General Practitioner based in Nottingham. Ramy qualified as a GP in Peterborough in July 2015. Later that year he began a 12 month GP academic fellowship, becoming junior training programme director for the GP training scheme in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. As part of this role, he began offering communication skills coaching to that scheme's GP trainees, particularly ST3 trainees preparing for their Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA) examination (a requirement for successful completion of GP training, and an exam that Ramy himself sat and passed at his first attempt in early 2015)... GPRP is an East Midlands based group of patient simulators, specialising in providing role play coaching for both trainee Doctors and medical students...
