CONTRACTORS - Key Persons

Gordon Spriggs - President

Job Titles:
  • President
  • President of K & G Electrical Contractors, Inc
Since its founding in 2013, Gordon Spriggs has served as president of K&G Electrical Contractors, Inc. He has devoted his time and energy into transforming his firm from one that was once considered a "side company'' of two journeyman electricians into a prime contractor for the federal government. Gordon was introduced to the construction industry before graduating high school, serving as a summer helper for T.A. Beach Corporation, a union electrical contractor for whom his Vo-Tech teacher had been employed. After graduating, he set off to pursue a career as a journeyman electrician by enrolling as an apprentice with IBEW Local 26. After graduating in the top 5% of his class in 2005, he served in various capacities for union electrical contractors in the DC metropolitan area. Spending the majority of his adult life in the construction industry has shaped his approach to owning and managing the day-to-day operations of his own firm. He has developed the skills needed to formulate an organized approach for planning and executing jobs in a manner that is effective for both the workers and the end user. Also, he is deliberate in his efforts to take a hands-on approach with all employees, to ensure that no one feels like they are just a number while working at K&G.
