Dr. N. Guzin Uzel received her DMD from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed her Periodontology Certificate and Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also received her Certificate in Microbiology from The Forsyth Institute, where she has conducted several basic science and clinical research studies. Dr. Uzel has published several peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on both basic science and clinical applications of periodontics and taught for several years at Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she served as the Clinical Director of Postdoctoral Periodontology. She is currently an assistant professor and Assistant Director of Predoctoral Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Yolanda Ho received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. She then continued her Doctorate in Dental Surgery studies at the University of California San Francisco. She finished her specialty training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for Periodontology with a Master in Medical Sciences. Dr. Ho has much enthusiasm for academia leading as class president in dental school and chief resident in her specialty. Her master's work on the use of a novel antimicrobial solution on periodontal pathogens and oral soft tissue earned her the Award for Outstanding Contributions to Dental Research by a Post-Doctoral Student. Her practice philosophy emphasizes a patient and provider teamwork: facilitating patient education and acknowledging patient needs to ensure successful surgical intervention and outcome. Dr. Ho enjoys reading, going on hikes, and rehashing Star Wars theories.
