Valerie A. Fahie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the field for over 20 years. Her experience is in various areas of the field of counseling including non-profit, supervising an adolescent female residential facility, training college-level peer educators, therapy in private practices, working in the area of prevention, amongst other experiences. Valerie is passionate about supporting the whole person and truly believes in the benefits of identifying barriers in life and finding the resilience and strength to move forward on a healthy path. She believes in the benefits of being outdoors, being in nature and exercise. Walking and talking in session instead of sitting in an office is therapeutically beneficial and is incorporated as requested. Empowered Wellness Counseling, LLC was born from the idea that people deserve well-rounded support with the ultimate goal of feeling empowered and identifying their wellness. This will be achieved by utilizing various modalities at the client's request. Clients at EWC should feel supported, safe, and gaining the skills and tools to move in a healthy direction in their lives.
