Cryogenetics was established in 2002, with the purpose to develop cryopreservation protocols for Atlantic salmon milt. This started out as a research project between Geno and AquaGen. The development of a protocol was successful, and became the foundation for the cryopreservation technology offered by Cryogenetics today.
