David E Vernon established the business in Manchester during 1964. Vernon Violins has provided skilled and professional services to stringed instrumentalists throughout Manchester and Nationally. In 2017 we moved and relocated the core of the business to South Devon. We continue to provide restoration skills inspired by techniques developed in the workshops of W E Hill & Sons and J & A Beare Ltd., as well as studies of modern contemporary violin restoration techniques. The workshop is located in the stunning village of Slapton half a mile inland from Slapton Sands.
