Lawson House, a 24-story Art Deco landmark located at 30 W. Chicago Avenue, has been named May's Landlord of the Month by the Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund (CLIHTF). This recognition honors their outstanding commitment to preserving affordable housing and supporting Chicago's most vulnerable residents... Originally built in 1931 as a YMCA, Lawson House has been thoughtfully redeveloped by Holsten Real Estate Development Corporation into 409 modern studio apartments, each with private kitchens and baths. The renovation maintained the building's historic architectural character while ensuring long-term affordability, guaranteeing that all units will remain accessible to low-income individuals for at least the next 50 years...
