David Hamlin

David Hamlin, Ph.D. has more than thirty years of experience with forest inventory and forest biometrics. In that time he has worked on forest inventory verification and due-diligence in numerous transactions covering millions of acres in the United States, Canada, Australia, and South America. Dave also has experience with forest growth models and taper functions, forest carbon projects in California, software development for forest growth and yield, simulation, software development, and other analysis of forestry data to help inform decisions. Education Dave started his education at Paul Smith's College and completed his BS in Forestry at Michigan Tech with a focus on statistics and mathematics applied to forestry. Dave earned his MS at Michigan Tech as well, focusing on biometrics and forest soils. After an interlude as a research assistant at Michigan Tech Dave completed his Ph.D. in forest biometrics at the University of Minnesota.
