Our mission at SISTA Fire is to co-create a network of women of color and non-binary people of color to build our collective power for social, economic and political transformation... Deeply rooted in Black Queer Feminist theory and Reproductive Justice, SISTA Fire believes in the inherent value of Black Women and Black Queer people. Leaning on the Combahee River Collective Statement as a foundational text, we understand our liberation as a necessity because of our need as people for autonomy. We are committed to the active struggle against racial, sexual, heterosexual, and class oppression... At the center of our work, we believe in creating space for deep interpersonal and leadership development for women/womyn of color between the ages of 18-30 years old.
