BEYERS CHIROPRACTIC - Key Persons

Dr. Bill Beyers

Job Titles:
  • Chiropractor
"I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor by the time I was a junior in high school. I saw how it helped my father with his bad headaches. He would take me with him sometimes to get checked and adjusted or when I would get injured in sports. In school I liked the sciences; biology, chemistry, and anatomy. I thought about the medical field but did not care for the over use of medication or the life and death situations surgeons deal with. So chiropracatic was a perfect fit. I could help people acheive and maintain their health through more natural ways." Dr. Beyers did his pre-chiropractic education at the University of Illinois and Eastern Illinois University where he studied chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, along with physiology and anatomy courses among others. After completing his pre-chiropractic studies he was accepted to Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. During his ten trimesters at Logan, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the out patient clinics. After his 4th trimester Dr. Beyers had completed the required courses to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology. Upon completing his 10th trimester and graduating in August 1985, Dr. Beyers returned to his hometown to open his practice in December 1985. Dr. Beyers is married to Kathy a court reporter for the state and they have two children , Wil who is a Marketing Director at a consulting company in Chicagoland and Seth, who is a Veterinarian at the Joliet VCA. Chiropractic has always been a constant in my life. Growing up, I would go to the chiropractor with my parents. I would fight with my siblings to be the first one on the table, the first one adjusted, and from a young age I knew that being adjusted made me feel better. If I was under the weather, my mom would make an appointment with Dr. Bill Beyers or Dr. Matt Beyers. When I was in sports in Junior High and High school my body was under loads of stress, I would go and get adjusted and I would feel less stress and I would perform better. The evidence that chiropractic was a good thing was so clear to me that when I was in the eighth grade I had made up my mind that I wanted to be a Chiropractor. So I set my sights on making the grades and taking college credit courses. I graduated High school as Salutatorian and completed my undergraduate education at Lake Land Community College; studying physics, anatomy and physiology and organic chemistry. After receiving my associates degree in Science, I began attending Logan University College of Chiropractic. After my first year, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Life Science, while simultaneously focusing on my chiropractic studies. I learned the in's and out's of evidence based Musculoskeletal care; how to manage a vast array of conditions, foremost back pain, neck pain, headaches and much more. During my 8th trimester, I obtained a certificate in Acupuncture. After completing my 10th trimester and my Clinical education at Montgomery Health Center, Fishel Chiropractic, and Beyers Chiropractic, I was awarded my Doctorate in Chiropractic for Logan University.
