ACE THE MARKETS

My journey in the stock market happened quite by accident. Back in 2011, I was working for a small marketing firm when one day I walked over to a co-workers cubicle to see if he wanted to go to lunch. As I approached, I heard him softly say, "Shit…I can't believe this. SHIT..!!" As I rounded the corner to his cubicle, he minimized his monitors. I asked him if he was ok and if he wanted to get lunch. He said "dude, I can't eat right now…I'm losing my ass on coffee." I was like "huh?" He then brought back up his monitors and said "check this out". All of a sudden I was looking at squiggly lines, flashing numbers, and what looked like blocks on a chart. He told me he was trading coffee futures and was taking a bath on his position and he was getting ready to dump it for a loss. Needless to say I had no idea what he was talking about but I was mesmerized by what I saw on the computer screen (as well as his account balance that was six-figures).
