I came across Brightheart after noticing that my 5 year old son was struggling at school, particularly when it came to deciphering letters and simple maths tasks. Unfortunately dyslexia cannot be tested for until children are older, but I wanted to find a tutor that could look for any potential signs and come up with some techniques that would help him, without him feeling that he was being singled out for 'extra help'. Brightheart were the answer! I spoke with John at length about my son's needs and he was extremely understanding and professional. A week later we met our tutor Melodie who my son had an instant bond with. She recognised all the issues I had been concerned about and set out a plan that was suited to my son. Her sessions involve lots of play-based and visual learning, which has worked miracles.
