Chris is an English solicitor with over 30 years post qualification experience, a vast majority of which was gained in the offshore industry. After first qualifying as a solicitor in the City of London, Chris moved to the Caribbean in 1989 working in private practice and specialising as a corporate, banking, investment funds and private client lawyer. He became a partner of the BVI law firm ‘Smith-Hughes, Raworth and Mckenzie' in 1993 and managing / senior partner of the firm in 1997 until 2004, when the firm merged with Maples and Calder. As part of the merger with Maples and Calder, Chris relocated back to London to head up the Maples BVI legal team for the UK and European region. Chris remained a partner of Maples and Calder until 2013 when he joined the AMS Financial Group as a shareholder and director, to head up the Group's global corporate, investment fund and private client teams, from the AMS office in Dubai. In April 2018, Chris joined FIN|LAW as a partner. Chris now permanently spends substantial time in the BVI, Dubai and London. Chris acts as an independent director for companies, investment funds and other investment vehicles established in the BVI.

John is a legal, trust, and licensed insolvency professional with over 25 years extensive experience in the City of London and in the Caribbean specialising as a corporate, banking, trusts, insolvency and financial services lawyer. John is a specialist debt finance, restructuring and asset recovery professional, uniquely blending his experience as a legal practitioner and licensed insolvency practitioner. John's legal practice covers banking and finance, corporate and investment funds, as the most experienced legal practitioner in BVI in his chosen areas of expertise, John is often involved in a number of high profile cases restructuring investment structures, hedge and private equity funds, trusts and corporate entities. John has acted for several ultrahigh net worth families in setting up and administering high value asset holding structures and he also has specialist expertise dealing with shipping and maritime matters. John is the only legal and insolvency practitioner in BVI. He is also a qualified trust and estate practitioner STEP. John is an international offshore expert having worked and lived in the Caribbean since 1997 and in the British Virgin Islands since 2001.
