CORK MOUNTAINEERING CLUB

Cork Mountaineering Club (CMC) was founded in 1975 and was Cork's first mountaineering club. It has a current membership of just over 100 and is affiliated to Mountaineering Ireland (MI), the national governing body for the sport of mountaineering... CMC provides training to members in map-reading, use of compass and mountain navigation techniques, and use of GPS. First Aid and safety training are also provided as required. Members' slide shows and guest lectures on mountain-related topics take place during the winter, and we have a busy social calendar.
