RPS DESIGN - Key Persons


Robert P. Suttman

Robert Suttman is a 1994 graduate of the Kent State School of Architecture and Environmental Design. He started his architectural career in Youngstown, Ohio working for the award winning design firm of K. Anthony Hayek and Associates. During his time at Hayek Assoc. he was instrumental in the design and construction of several prominent churches in the area as well as police stations, office buildings and residences. His career then took him to Florida where he gained experience in retail and commercial design with Lyman Davidson & Dooley of Tampa. There he managed projects such as Eckerd drug stores, Sears department stores, Office Max stores and covered mall buildings. When Robert moved to Santa Barbara, California he joined award winning Shubin & Donaldson Architects Inc. where he worked on office buildings for several prominent IT firms in Los Angeles as well as high end residences. He then formed his own design firm designing residences in the Santa Barbara area. Robert's exposure to the rich design environment in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles greatly influenced his view of architecture. He worked on projects ranging from traditional Spanish Revival residences and buildings to cutting edge post modern projects. Robert found his way to beautiful Northern California in 2003 where he formed RPS Design. His local design work has ranged from exclusive residences throughout Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties to houses of worship, office buildings and apartment buildings. In all of his endeavors Robert has drawn on his wealth of experience to provide exceptional design services to all of his clients.
