Jay D. Shah, DHSc, MSc, DABR moved from New York City after receiving his graduate degree in Medical Physics from Columbia University. Dr. Shah joined a fast-paced cancer treatment consulting firm in Tampa Bay, where he implemented cutting-edge technological innovations in Radiation Oncology, bringing his highly prestigious training from an Ivy League university to community practices. He has been performing clinical medical physics since 2008, and in just a few years, quickly rose to the level of partner at his firm. After encouragement from his colleagues and mentor, Dr. Shah founded Dynamic Medical Physics Inc in 2016. In addition to planning the company's future direction, he continues to practice clinically in Medical Physics. He is a two-time "40 Under 40" award recipient recognized separately for leadership and community impact by both the Tampa Bay Business Journal and Drexel University.
Dr. Shah insists upon personalizing all of his clients' needs to ensure patients, physicians, and supporting staff are always achieving their goals. He also received a doctoral degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He has a strong background as a Biomedical Engineer and previously worked for the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Dr. Shah is board-certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics, licensed to practice Therapeutic Radiological Physics, a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology (ABR), a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), and a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). Dr. Shah's expertise has also been sought out by the entertainment industry to help create more realistic and engaging storylines in television and film. He has collaborated with writers from Madam Secretary on CBS and Phantom Four Films (responsible for the Batman and Superman film series).
