Charlotte Allfrey - CHRO

Charlotte founded Metro HR in 2014, with the intention of sharing her passion for great HR practices to help businesses and their people grow and develop together. She has over 20 years of experience, having worked with hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses across a broad range of industry sectors. Charlotte is a Chartered member of the CIPD, co-director of HR Independents which supports Independent HR practitioners across the UK, and an HR Growth Champion for Coast to Capital, which supports small businesses in the South East. She is currently Bank and Guest Associate Lecturer in HR Management at Chichester College. Charlotte has proven expertise in encouraging and supporting HR strategy development, roll-out and proactive business leadership, backed up by a sound foundation in generalist HR management, including problem-solving and troubleshooting. Charlotte's approach is highly performance and value focused. She is well-versed in influencing change and business growth through strong project management, collaborative working, coaching and knowledge sharing. When not working, Charlotte is a keen baker and crafter, who loves making things. She is a budding gardener and starting to venture into growing fruit and vegetables.

Kerry Eames

Kerry is a highly experienced Human Resources professional who brings over 25 years of human resource management to Metro HR. As a Chartered Member of the CIPD, Kerry is passionate about ensuring the HR function is viewed as a valuable, strategic resource within the organisation. Most of Kerry's roles have involved working in complex, matrix-structured organisations and working across a wide range of industry sectors, including publishing, social care, financial services, aerospace & defence consultancy, buildings management and energy-from-waste. Kerry's aim is always to work in partnership with a client so as to provide them with the skills, knowledge, tools and resources they need to manage their HR requirements in a compliant, professional way. When time permits, Kerry enjoys travelling, keeping fit with walking and cycling, and gardening (growing her own fruit and veg is the most challenging yet fulfilling part of the garden). Kerry also enjoys challenging herself by getting out of her comfort zone with activities such as abseiling down tall buildings!

Linda Hawkins

Linda is a highly experienced Human Resources professional with extensive experience at a senior level. She has successfully led HR teams in developing and delivering business relevant strategic and operational HR services. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development with a Post Graduate Certificate in Employment Law, Linda currently sits as a member of the Employment Tribunal service working alongside an Employment Judge and employee member to decide cases about alleged discrimination, harassment, victimisation, unlawful detriments during employment, equal pay and many other issues. Linda is also an experienced independent lay panellist working across a range of statutory settings primarily determining fitness to practise cases. As an experienced HR consultant, Linda brings an understanding of handling contentious workplace issues combined with the ability to identify relevant facts and make objective decisions.

Sarah brings over 25 years of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition experience to Metro HR and as a Fellowship Member of the REC adhering to the highest industry standards of the recruitment confederation. After 15 years as a Senior Consultant in a high-profile agency, Sarah became an independent recruitment consultant, working in partnership with businesses across the UK. The services she supplies have developed from contingency into retained and internal resourcing, working with independent HR Consultants and business owners alike to fulfill the varied hiring and resourcing needs for both short- and long-term requirements. Sarah believes that recruitment is a vital investment for businesses, requiring continuous attention and development - alongside best practice - to ensure that they attract and retain the talent required to meet their businesses' unique needs. She is proud to support HR professionals and hiring managers in this vital area, drawing on her strong background of working across most sectors, in a skillful, focused, engaging and positive manner to achieve desired outcomes. Outside of work, Sarah's time is usually focused on making great memories with family and friends. She loves music of all genres, and especially enjoys going to live concerts and festivals. Sarah also loves to travel and explore new places - anywhere there is a beach is a joy!
