God wants to give you a new start and a new beginning. When Jesus was baptized, He was fully immersed in water. We want to follow Him in His example. When we go under the water, it represents being buried with Jesus. When we come up out of the water, we are new creations. In baptism we are raised into a new life with Him, by Him and for Him. Everything we do we is in the Name of Jesus!... In Romans 6, we see baptism as being buried with Christ and then being resurrected with Him. God wants to give you a new start and a new beginning. To be baptized is to be completely immersed and enveloped, or filled by. When we "baptize in the name of Jesus" it is more than a name, it is the fulness of God and His love for us, including authority, power and dominion. We want to be enveloped and filled by all that the Father is, all that Jesus is, and all that the Holy Spirit is: the love of the Father offering mercy and grace, the authority of the Son who obeys the Father and is heir of salvation,..
