My interest in counselling began in 2001 when I saw a 9 year old boy, on the streets of Nicaragua, sniffing a bag of glue. I asked myself, "What can I do?"... Back in Kitchener, I began volunteering overnights at a crisis line, listening to stories of loneliness, depression, and suicide in hopes of offering some relief.
