With over 27 years' experience in three major state sector companies, Alma Thompson is a seasoned manager and consultant. Her areas of expertise include Corporate Communications/Public Relations, Human Resource Development facilitation & Management, which enabled her to start Almawi Ltd and turn it into the thriving business that it is. She is officially retired, but always busy!
At an early age, Leana told her mother that she wanted her own business. As a result, through high school at St Francois Girls' College she pursued entrepreneurial projects like Junior Achievement and Young Leaders and went on to study Management, and eventually, Podiatry. Through personal and clinical experience, she learned the consequences of foot health neglect. She now advocates for function over fashion, and especially, injury prevention. Leana keeps on top of the pulse by attending international conferences, while continuing to pursue professional development courses.
