Eschewing the traditional designer path, Scott learned the importance of quality, fit, and style from other sources. Born and raised in High Point, North Carolina, he observed his grandfather and father in their rituals of getting dressed. He developed his appreciation of and understanding for fabrication and construction as a menswear specialist at preeminent retailer Jeffrey New York.
