SALT RIVER LOBSTER

Salt River Lobster has been selling seafood in the Bethesda area since 1982 (that's over 30 years!). The man who founded Salt River Lobster, Mike McConnell, is a genuine lobsterman from Boothbay, Maine. A friend of his working at the NIH suggested he bring lobsters down from Maine to sell to the Bethesda/NIH community. Mike brought about a hundred pounds of fresh, live lobsters in his old pickup truck, and sold every single one within an hour... It has been over a quarter of a century since then, and Salt River Lobster's inventory now includes shrimp, fresh fish, various other shellfish, and smoked seafood.
