JUNIOR THEATRE

Junior Theatre is a unique community where young people connect, collaborate, and learn from people of different ethnicities, genders, ages, social circumstances and cultures... Central Elementary third graders after their Friday performance of The Samurai's Daughter. Junior Theatre is so grateful to partner with School in the Park, bringing in students for a week at a time with our teaching artists, culminating in their performances. For most of these students, this is their first exposure to theatre and performance! San Diego Junior Theatre originally began as a community program of the Old Globe Theatre. Today, Junior Theatre operates as an independent, nonprofit organization for the benefit of children throughout San Diego County, and is the oldest youth theatre program in the country.
