Probation Officers are sworn peace officers with the power to arrest, search, and perform specific law enforcement functions. In Butte County you may see Probation staff in a variety of roles: Treatment Provider, Court Officer, BINTF Agent, Juvenile Hall Counselor, or High Intensity Field Supervision Officer.
