  • Associate
Dr. Cameron Carter is an Associate Veterinarian with Fox Creek Animal Hospital. Dr. Carter attended Rockhurst University where she received her biology degree in 2018 and later obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 from The University of Missouri. While in school, she did several internships at exotic specialty centers and zoologic parks and has found a special interest in exotics and surgery. Dr. Carter's favorite aspect of being a vet is never knowing what will walk through the door, and never having a dull day on the job. Originally from Saint Louis, Dr. Carter is excited to be back in her home state after moving around for the past 8 years. After shadowing veterinarians for so long, she feels she has finally come full circle now serving as a doctor herself in the city she grew up in. Dr. Carter currently has one dog named Kevin (a Border Collie/Aussie mix) who is named after a character from one of her favorite Christmas movies! When she is not working, she can usually be found outside trying to tire Kevin out, but also enjoys exercising, traveling, trying new restaurants, and binging reality TV.

DR. KENZIE MAUS

Job Titles:
  • Associate
  • Veterinarian
Dr. Kenzie Maus (she/her) is a new Veterinarian with us at Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Maus received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri Veterinary Medical School in 2023. She has personal interests in reproductive medicine, preventative care, dentistry, and surgery. From the time she was very young, she has always wanted to be a vet. Dr. Maus grew up on the property raising dogs, cats, pigs, several different types of waterfowl, and poultry. Dr. Maus has been in the veterinary field since she began shadowing a local clinic while attending college for her undergraduate degree. During her undergraduate, she also worked as a calf rearer on a local dairy farm, which piqued her interest in the reproductive side of veterinary medicine. During her time in veterinary school, Dr. Maus took every opportunity to learn more about genetics and reproductive medicine. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is educating clients and helping them have the best lives with their fur babies, seeing them both as happy and healthy as can be through all stages of life. Dr. Maus was born and raised in a small town in central Illinois. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and studied Agribusiness-Animal Science with an emphasis on Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Since graduating from the University of Missouri's Veterinary Medical School in May, she has moved to the greater St. Louis, MO area. She shares her home with her spouse and their labrador retriever mix, Beau Jangles. When she isn't helping animals at the hospital, she enjoys lifting weights, being outside with her spouse and dog, reading, playing any sort of stringed instrument, and spending time with her family!
