Diana Jacobs, Ph.D., received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Georgia State University in January 2000, and completed her internship at Ravenswood Community Mental Health Center in Chicago. Dr. Jacobs has worked with diverse populations in a broad range of settings including a women's prison, a juvenile detention center, a psychiatric emergency clinic, and a student counseling center, as well as in private practice. Dr. Jacobs has gained extensive experience providing therapy to adolescents, young adults and adults of all ages. She particularly enjoys working with individuals who are exploring or struggling with their spirituality. As a therapist, Dr. Jacobs is warm and engaging and takes a direct and active role in helping clients deal with problems. She incorporates systemic, behavioral, and short-term, problem-focused approaches to treatment. She believes in highlighting clients' strengths in order to empower them to facilitate positive changes in their lives.
