Chris Wei is Sun Life's Executive Vice-President and Chief Client and Innovation Officer (CCIO) and a member of its Executive Team. Chris is responsible for leading the company's commitment to Client experience excellence. He leads Sun Life's strategic areas that are critical to the company's commitment to Client including Global Marketing, Sustainability and Corporate Communications. When combined, these areas will aim to strategically position Sun Life as a sustainability-driven, Client-centered and people-first global brand. He is also responsible for identifying and cultivating innovative solutions focused on achieving our Purpose of helping our Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives, including measuring how we deliver on our Purpose, whilst maximizing Sun Life's impact to foster a sustainable society and healthier planet. Chris has more than 25 years of global leadership experience in insurance and wealth management, having spent most of his career in senior roles and leading businesses in Toronto, Asia and London. He has worked with several well-known and well-respected brands in the financial services industry in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Canada. Prior to joining Sun Life, Chris was Executive Chairman for Aviva Asia and Global Chairman of Aviva Digital and served as Group CEO and Executive Director of Great Eastern Holdings Limited, a leading Singapore-based regional insurer. His prior experience includes roles with AIA, AIG United Guaranty Insurance, AllState Canada and CIBC. Originally from Toronto, Chris holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Actuarial Science. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (A.C.A.S) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MA.A.A.). Chris is based in Singapore.

Donna Cotter - CEO

Ms. Cotter's experience includes executive roles in corporate strategy, business development, M&A, sustainability, distribution, product development, finance, and operations. Her industry expertise encompasses global insurance, wealth management, banking, and consumer goods retailing in more than 30 countries across five continents. From 2010-2020, Donna was based in Hong Kong and Tokyo. She joined Sun Life in 2021 after 3 years as Global Head of Strategic Partnerships for HSBC where she was responsible for all insurance and strategic partnerships, commercial insurance distribution, private bank distribution, third-party distribution, health and wellness, and sustainability. Prior to HSBC, Donna held several senior leadership positions in her 14-year career with a major global insurance company. Donna is Canadian and resides in Bermuda with her husband and twin daughters.

Mrs. Li is responsible for leading Sun Life International's Risk Management and Actuarial functions ensuring compliance with all Sun Life policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Sun Life International in June 2024, Mei was the AVP, Business Unit Valuation Actuary (BUVA), where she was responsible for leading Sun Life U.S. Group Benefits and FullscopeRMS' valuation and actuarial reporting functions. Mei places a strong focus on the personal and professional development of her team and is a great advocate of lifelong learning. Mei began her 20-year career with Sun Life as an Actuarial Associate and has taken on a variety of Actuarial roles with increased responsibility and seniority as she progressed in her career. She spent 13 years in various roles including Valuation, Pricing, and Projections for the Individual and Annuity business before she joined Group Valuation in 2017. Mei holds a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Science and is a Fellow of Society of Actuary (FSA) and member of American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). Mei lives in Bermuda with her husband and their dog. She enjoys running in marathons and travelling with her family.
