Arash T. Riahi

Arash T. Riahi, was born in Iran in 1972 and moved to Austria in 1982. He pursued degrees in film and human sciences, and freelanced from 1995 until 2002 at ORF shows: Nitebox, aktuelle Kultur, and Kunst-Stücke. In 1997, he founded a film and media production company called Golden Girls Film Production. He worked on documentaries, commercials, music videos, short films, and experimental films which received over 70 awards in total. His first feature-length film was the motion picture documentary DIE SOUVENIRS DES HERRN X. Internationally awarded, the documentary EXILE FAMILY MOVIE was his second motion picture. His first featur film EIN AUGENBLICK FREIHEIT (Wega Film & Les Films Du Losange, 2008), received 31 international awards and was the official Austrian candidate for the Academy Award for best foreign language film in 2010. In 2010, he began his work as a group leader and dramaturg at MEDIA/Creative Europe Programm SOURCES 2, which includes guest lectures, and coaching at Uni Wien, Goethe Institut Dublin, various film festivals, and ORF. In addition to that, he teaches non-fictional dramaturgy and production at Filmakademie Wien since 2014. Arash`s latest film EIN BISSCHEN BLEIBEN WIR NOCH has received the Max Ophüls Publikumspreis in 2020 and a Roy award for best cinema Film in 2021.

Christian Johannes Koch

Christian Johannes Koch, born 1986 in Switzerland, is a director and screenwriter. His work straddles a variety of media and institutional contexts. After studying photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, he completed his diploma and master's studies in film directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. With the social drama SPAGAT he realized his feature film debut, which celebrated its world premiere in 2020 in the New Directors Competition at the 68th San Sebastián International Film Festival. SPAGAT drew international attention, was nominated several times for the Swiss Film Award and won the Zurich Film Award in 2021. His current film project WIR WAREN KUMPEL, is winner of the Kompagnon-Förderpreis at the Berlinale 2021. Christian Johannes Koch lives in Zurich as well as Berlin and works transnationally.

David Wagner

David Wagner started working in the film industry in 2003. He has earned a lot of experience on numerous filmsets that he worked on. He participated in a summer program at the NYU - Tisch School of the Arts in 2006 and got a master's degree in directing from Hamburg Media School in 2014-2016. His short films were presented at international short film festivals, such as the Max-Ophuels-Preis and the Tel Aviv Student Film Festival, where he won several awards. In 2019 David won the Script Talent Award at Munich Film Fest for his first script. In 2021 he shot his debut film EISMAYER. David lives in Vienna.

Julian Reich

Julian Reich began his film career as an assistant editor for films such as JENSEITS DER STILLE directed by Caroline Link and DAS LEBEN IST EINE BAUSTELLE directed by Wolfgang Becker. After a short time he moved back to his country of origin-USA, and studied film at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He now lives in Berlin. Julian has directed several music videos for clients such as SonyBMG & Universal and television reports for stations such as ZDF, ARD and SAT1. He is a graduate of the Berlinale's Doc Station Workshop and was awarded the Saatchi & Saatchi New German Director's award in 2013. KIEGER VATER KÖNIG, his feature-length debut, is currently available on Netflix Europe.

Marie Kreutzer

Marie Kreutzer studied screenplay at the Film Academy Vienna. Her feature film debut DIE VATERLOSEN celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale (Panorama Spezial) in 2011. Her second feature film GRUBER GEHT (2015) was nominated several times for the Austrian Film Award. WAS HAT UNS BLOSS SO RUINIERT premiered in 2016 at the Zurich Film Festival competition and was an enormous audience success. Her first TV movie DIE NOTLÜGE (screenplay Pia Hierzegger) won the main awards at two TV film festivals. The film she created as a director and screenwriter DER BODEN UNTER DEN FÜSSEN, celebrated its world premiere in the competition of the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. It was the opening film at the Diagonale 2019, ran internationally in cinemas (including USA) and was nominated seven times for the Austrian Film Award. Her latest film CORSAGE that she wrote and directed is being shown at the Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard 2022. In 2024, she will shoot her screenplay ACHT, a Landkrimi for ORF, that is the sequel to VIER.

Mirjam Unger

Mirjam Unger, attended the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and got a degree in directing. Since 2000, she worked as an author and director to create motion pictures like TERNITZ TENNESSE and MAIKÄFER FLIEG, as well as documentary films like VIENNAS LOST DAUGHTERS, OH YEAH, SHE PERFORMS! which all were very successful internationally. In addition to that, Mirjam regularly works for Austrian tv and radio. For her tv documentary on child poverty in Austria ARMUT IST KEIN KINDERSPIEL, she received the important Prälat-Leopold-Ungar Journalism Award in the category- best tv documentary. In 2015, she was nominated for the Romy for her tv film on C sections and the impact it has on women, called MEINE NARBE. Aside from her work in film, Mirjam Unger is known as an anchor woman for tv, Radio FM4, Ö1, as well as Gala. In 2016, she opened the Diagonale Film Festival with her film MAIKÄFER FLIEG, a film version of the autobiographical novel by Christine Nöstlinger. Actress Ursula Strauss received the award for best actress for her work in this very film. Over 40,000 spectators went to see MAIKÄFER FLIEG in Austrian theatres and the film is currently ranked number 3 of the 2016 Austrian film rankings. This film is beautiful in its liveliness, poetry, and the fact that the heads of departments, aside from the sound department, were all held by women, which was a first in Austria. Mirjam Unger received two Romy nominations for MAIKÄFER FLIEG in 2017, for best film and best script. In 2018, 2019 and 2020 Mirjam Unger worked on episodes of the very successful tv show VORSTADTWEIBER. She directs TV Shows like TAGE, DIE ES NICHT GAB and BIESTER and TV movies like TATORT, LANDKRIMI many others. In 2023 she won a Romy Award for TAGE DIE ES NICHT GAB.

Sandra Schuppach

Sandra Schuppach has a degree for for film studies from universities in Bordeaux and Mainz and finished her masters degree by writing her thesis on Tom Tykwer's films. Initially, she worked as a producer for commercials until she moved to Berlin and began to work in film. She held different jobs for various production companies in TV and motion picture. After she moved to Vienna, she worked as a producer in story development until she founded her own agency in 2012. The agency Sandra Schuppach specializes in representing all head of departments, thus all jobs practiced behind the camera. The agency represents creatives from the film industry in Germany and Austria. Her attention lies on the German speaking market, with a focus on motion picture and premium shows.
