Dr. Erin Eyer is the primary orthodontist leading the team in our Nanaimo location. Dr. Eyer cares deeply about her team and the patients she treats, taking the time to really get know each person she meets. She is dedicated to providing the best patient experience and creating confident smiles. Dr. Eyer values community involvement and supports several patient sports teams, community programs, and is a sponsor of multiple organizations and events, such as Silly Boat. I have always wanted to be an orthodontist. While visiting my family home a few years ago, my husband came across an old school project of mine from grade three. In it, we were asked to describe what we wanted to do when we grew up. My answer was "I want to be an orthodontist because I like to make people smile". Years have gone by and it turns out my answer is still the same. What I have learned now is that what we do at Shoreline is so much more than making people smile - it is helping people find their confidence - and that lasts a lifetime. I truly feel that the most critical element of my job is caring for each individual patient. I love establishing lasting relationships with my patients and their families, while working towards creating healthy and beautiful smiles. I really had fun going to the orthodontist when I was in braces. Everyone in the office was happy and enjoyed their work. This and the fact that my father was an oral surgeon inspired me to become a dentist and eventually an orthodontist. I like solving puzzles, thinking, planning and organizing all of which I am able to do as an orthodontist. More importantly, I enjoy getting to know people and making them smile. I am glad to have joined Dr. Helpard and the team at Shoreline because they have years of experience providing excellent orthodontic care. They are engaged in and enjoy giving back to the community.

Dr. Michelle Kosmowski is joined by Dr. Silas Yeung in Campbell River. Dr. Kosmowski has worked alongside Dr. Helpard since 2018, taking over the role as the lead orthodontist in both the Courtenay and Campbell River locations. As a team and individually, each doctor strives to deliver exceptional care consistently. The doctors care deeply about the lives of our patients, taking the time to really get to know each one. The whole team is dedicated to providing the best patient experience and creating a confident smile in every patient we treat.
