Christian Metzger studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen and the EPF Lausanne, majoring in energy technology. As a graduate engineer, he initially worked for four years as an international management consultant at McKinsey&Company and RWE Consulting (now innogy Consulting), in particular for companies in the energy industry and automotive construction in Europe, the USA and China. Subsequently, he was responsible for and coordinated the research activities on the topic of energy storage at innogy's central research and development department, including the areas of battery storage, alternative large-scale storage facilities and power-to-fuel. In this context, he implemented demonstration projects, established partnerships with tech start-ups and gave lectures at international conferences. Christian Metzger joined our firm in October 2018.
He spends his free time with his family in the nearby mountains, playing guitar, piano and tennis.

Friedrich Möhring studied Mechanical Engineering at the Techical University of Munich. There he also completed a postgraduate course in environmental engineering. He then gained industrial experience at a Siemens Group company focusing on environmental technology. Since 1987 he has been working in the field of intellectual property, beginning with his training as a patent attorney in the former Grättinger law firm. He has been a German Patent Attorney since 1991 and a European Patent Attorney since 1992, a partner of Grättinger & Partner since 1993.
