Danie Weideman - CEO

Danie Weideman is the managing partner of LindsayKeller. He is a distinguished expert in the field of personal injury and liability claims and an internationally accredited mediator. Danie has contributed to shaping the law in the insurance field through his involvement in numerous reported Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal and High Court cases. He consults to other legal practices on complex local and international claims. He lectures in his field of expertise to various entities and has recently trained mediators in Road Accident Fund and personal injury law for Conflict Dynamics, the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa and The South African Medico-Legal Association (SAMLA). Danie is a frontrunner in the field of mediation in South Africa: he qualified as an internationally accredited mediator in 2013. He has acted as mediator in various pilot projects on mediation including the ongoing SAMLA/Road Accident Fund project. He consults on the use of Rule 41A and acts as mediator in insurance, personal injury and family law matters. Danie joined LindsayKeller as a clerk in 1987 and achieved the second-highest score in the attorney admission examinations in the former Transvaal in 1989. He was admitted as an attorney in 1990 and only one year later, on 1 March 1991, he became the youngest equity partner in the firm's history. In 1993, he became head of LindsayKeller's insurance department. He went on to become managing partner of the firm in 1996 and served in this role for ten years. He was elected senior partner in 2008 and successfully led the firm in this role until 2020. In 2021, he stepped into the role of managing partner again. Danie serves on the mediation panels of the Law Society of South Africa, Conflict Dynamics, SAMLA and 41AonMediation where he continues to distinguish himself as an excellent attorney and mediator. He is also involved in the Legal Practice Council and serves on its disciplinary investigative committee.

Lize-Marie Weideman

Lize-Marie Weideman is a partner of LindsayKeller. She leads the short-term insurance practice with partner Victor de Bruyn and handles Constitutional Court and General Correspondence work. Lize-Marie has distinguished herself as an excellent attorney during her legal career. She joined the firm in 2000, having gained experience as a claims assistant for the Road Accident Fund, a claims technician in the short-term insurance industry and a corporate claims broker at an international brokerage. She differentiated herself in the short-term insurance and personal injury fields by writing authoritative legal opinions and achieving success in landmark cases. Her contributions to the legal field is evident from her involvement in reported cases. Lize-Marie joined the ranks of the firm's partners in 2007. She has since contributed to LindsayKeller's success through her strategic work for court hearings and by leading quality management. She has equipped our young attorneys to build rewarding legal careers and given strategic support to our marketing efforts. Lize-Marie continues to inspire our legal team with her insight and equitable leadership.

Nicholas Hardie

Nicholas Hardie joined LindsayKeller as a candidate attorney in January 2020. He is a member of our short-term insurance department and concentrates on litigation.

Sannie Ncube

Sannie Ncube is the senior partner of LindsayKeller. She rose to this leadership position in the firm in March 2020 after serving as managing partner since 2017. Sannie first qualified as an attorney with LindsayKeller in 2007. She went on to diligently serve the firm in various roles, including as professional assistant and partner. She has set herself apart through her professionalism and dedication to the legal profession and the firm. Sannie is as a leading expert in injury claims. She also specialises in conveyancing, notarial work, and drafting and interpreting contracts. Sannie has built an excellent track record in handling medical negligence matters. Sannie is proud of LindsayKeller's remarkable history and achievements. She continues to build the firm's legacy for future generations through her inspiring leadership.

Victor de Bruyn

Victor de Bruyn heads up LindsayKeller's general insurance law department. He is a veteran litigator and leading insurance specialist with expertise in a wide range of matters, including personal injury, product liability, construction and material damage claims, fire insurance, professional indemnity insurance and policy cover. Victor holds a B.Proc degree from the University of Johannesburg. He started his legal career with a Johannesburg firm of attorneys in 1987. He went on to work on insurance matters with a prominent legal firm before joining LindsayKeller in 1993 to lead its insurance team. He became a partner of LindsayKeller in 1994. Victor has acted for numerous insurers and re-insurers in defended and recovery matters. He continues to set legal precedent through his involvement in reported cases. Victor also provides alternative dispute resolution services. He has Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa.
