CHONGQING UNIVERSITY

The college of chemistry and chemical engineering at Chongqing University has originated from the Department of Chemistry at Chongqing University (1929) founded in 1932 and the Department of Chemical Engineering founded in 1936. After 90 years of development, The college has evloved as a research institute in the disciplines of both "Chemical Enginering" and "Chemistry". In 2019, the two disciplines were ranked at 76-100, and 151-200 at "ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects". The discipline of "Chemical Enginering" was ranked as "B+" in the fourth round of discipline assessment employed by the Ministry of Education, while the discipline of "Chemistry" is ranked at 0.29% in the ESI ranking of global chemical research institutions.
