Balas Inc. was founded in 1967 by Mr. Joseph Drag and two other partners. Balas' first facility was located in Franklin Park, Illinois. As Balas grew, it earned a reputation for high quality precision grinding and finishing when the requirements and delivery schedules were challenging. A second location in Addison, Illinois and a third location in Sugar Grove, Illinois were added to accommodate our customers' grinding requirements and Balas' need for space to rebuild equipment... Balas Inc. is a service company specializing in precision cylindrical grinding and finishing of fabricated and cylindrical metal products up to 50 inches in diameter and 600 inches long. We are located in the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area but provide grinding services to customers in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
