Currently, many patients attend Mayfield Medical Centre for blood tests and ECGs requested by their hospital specialists. These tests allow your specialist to monitor your condition and ensure you receive the best possible care. Unfortunately, the funding provided for this service has not kept up with rising costs, and we are no longer able to continue offering this service without affecting our ability to provide care to our 21,000 patients... This change will allow us to free up valuable resources and capacity in our practice so we can focus on the core services we are contractually obligated to provide to all our patients.
