LIGHT OAKS JUNIOR SCHOOL

Light Oaks Junior School is a primary school maintained by the local authority (Salford). It has about 350 boys and girls aged between 7 and 11... This year, we are continuing to work towards the Gold Emotionally Friendly Schools Award and continuing our partnership with UNICEF through our Rights Respecting School work. This means we are focusing on our children's emotional wellbeing and helping them to stay healthy both physically and mentally, and making sure all of our pupils know their own - and respect each others'- rights. We are supplementing this offer by hoping to become a School of Sanctuary through focusing on our work on diversity... We are also pleased to announce that we are now a Platinum School Games accredited school and we will continue our high-profile sport and PE work in Salford and beyond.
